Local Area

Bwthyn Glascoed is situated in the middle of beautiful welsh countryside. To the north lies Snowdonia National Park, to the south the Berwyn National Park, to the east historical Shropshire and to the west the Welsh coast.

In Meifod there are the usual village amenities (shops, pub, etc...) as well as tennis courts and a bowling green.

The rivers Vyrnwy Banwy and Twyn meet just outside the village, which provides excellent trout fishing and swimming.
